Asset Management

Whether it’s Word Documents, Videos, Spreadsheets, Source Code, Visio Diagrams, Powerpoint Presentations, or other forms of Digital Assets, Virtualization encapsulates a mechanism of not only tracking these assets, but storing all revisions and history. For example, you can have an Excel Spreadsheet you’ve been working on and enhancing for six months. Each time you update the spreadsheet in the collaborative workspace, it saves each different version, so if you want to go back and look at the spreadsheet as it existed three months ago, it’s just a simple click away.

Going Paperless

—Some companies have an existing amount of paperwork that needs to be converted into online documentation. With Virtualization, converting paperwork to online documentation increases efficiency, adds automated and rapid search capabilities, and allows custom security and access protection. —

While there are professional document scanning services (which may be necessary for scanning a large amount of paperwork) we prefer to teach and empower a company to “do it yourself”. For example, a company can purchase a Panasonic KV-S2026C Duplex Color Scanner for under $1,000 that can scan 24 pages per minute, and the latest Professional version of Adobe Acrobat for $450 and execute OCR (optical character recognition) scans that will create both a “snapshot” scan and a text conversion scan (which allows for search, etc).

—If your company requires document scanning and organization, we can define such needs during the initial consultation and ensure support and training for document scanning is included in the plan.
